Incorporated in 1981 with the mission of bringing charitable, educational, civic and cultural opportunities to eight Pocono communities, the organization has provided more than 40 years of a variety of entertaining and enlightening experiences to a wide audience. From the early 1980's with art and drama classes for children to crafts in the park came 20 plus years of the Moscow Country Fair, drawing people from far and wide for a juried craft show, hot air balloons, tempting fair foods, headliner musical events, an art show and the ever popular quilt show.
In more recent years, a concert series called Mondays in Moscow was added to the organization's repertoire along with the annual Russian Christmas in Moscow Celebration. An Artist and Farmer's Market, lecture series, art show, dinner theater, a Garden Tour & Contest have added variety to the list of sponsored events. Since 2016 an annual summer Street Fair has been a feature of the group's events.
As a non-profit organization, any income generated by NPCS is directed toward annual scholarships for North Pocono High School graduates pursuing advanced studies in the arts. Your participation is encouraged. Join us!
